Welcome to Area 22

Area 22 is one of 23 Areas across the United Kingdom, grouping Riding Clubs who have affiliated to the British Horse Society. This grouping allows affiliated Clubs to compete in Area Qualifiers for the chance to qualify for the various BRC National Championships.

Area 22 is one of the largest areas in the national network of British riding clubs. The area covers all of mainland Scotland including the Islands that lie North of the Forth. Within the area there are 17 affiliated riding clubs. Clubs within the Area offer a wide range of activities including training, competitions, fun events and social gatherings. Riders have the opportunity to take part in qualifiers for a wide range of national competitions for teams and individuals that are organised by British riding clubs. Within a relatively small area, there will be a riding club that caters for your needs.

While each Club has its own programme of events and activities. The Area Liaison committee meet regularly to discuss matters of common interest and to arrange Area-wide qualifiers, training events and camp.

Scottish Riding Club Event Series is a collection of events that have been set up to encourage RC members to take part in local riding club events to gain points. As National Championships would be a goal and dream for many members sadly the distance is to much. We decided it would be fun to have our own championships that is more accessible for our members.
